Description

Get outside and spend a day climbing in the White Mountains of New Hampshire!

Here are the details:

  • Waiver: All participants need a waiver on file. Fill one out here!
  • Timing:   Meet at 9am and plan to be done by about 5pm
  • Getting to Echo Crag:  This is a great climbing area with solid rock and amazing views.
    • Here’s a Google Map of the parking/meet-up location:   https://maps.app.goo.gl/5yUPGPKKeeLamqan9
    • Getting there: Interstate 93 to Exit at 34C, turn East (away from  Echo  Lake and Cannon Mountain Ski Area), and follow the road past the sharp turn and an open gate. We will meet you right by the gate.
    • Parking:  Please park  on  the right side of the road after the gate.   Be sure to park to the right of the white road line so that your car isn’t in the driving lane.  You can turn around there or drive down less than a minute to a turnaround spot   with additional parking  (sidenote: there is a large bridge with a nice view at the turnaround spot).
  • Gear: We can provide climbing gear (shoes, harnesses, helmets, belay devices, etc.). Just let us know what you need in the checkout! Feel free to bring your own gear if you have it.
  • What else to bring:
    • Shoes! Please wear appropriate shoes for hiking. The hike to the climbing is not long but it is fairly rocky.
    • Water! Please bring plenty of water!
    • Lunch and Snacks. The plan is to be out all day so they’ll need fuel.
    • Extra Clothing including a Rain Jacket. It is October in the mountains so it is important to be ready for a range of weather (even when the weather report says there will be no rain!)
  • Gratuities:  Tips are never expected but always appreciated.
  • Questions: Feel free to email [email protected] with any questions!
