Intro to Trad Climbing

Best For: Climbers who have some lead experience. Sport climbing experience can be helpful but is not required.

Many of the best climbs in the White Mountains, especially the long adventures, have few or no bolts. Accessing this terrain requires knowing how to place your own protection, as well as when and where. Whether you’re totally new to traditional (“trad”) climbing and need to learn the basics, or have some experience already and just want an expert eye to critique your placements, we can help you take the next step in your trad climbing career!

Prerequisites: Some experience lead climbing, either indoors or outdoors. Prior outdoor climbing experience is recommended.

Our full day of private guiding is a solid eight hours of mountain adventure crafted to your personal requirements and interests.
