Join North Country Climbing’s six-lesson homeschool rock climbing program!
About the Program: Over the course of the program, students in grades K-12 (ages 5-18) will learn the ropes in our state-of-the-art indoor climbing facility. Each lesson includes climbing and instruction as well as team-building activities. This homeschool program will be run as a drop-off program where instructors will provide instruction and supervision during the session.
North Country Climbing’s skilled instructors guide students through basic climbing skills, including:
- The basics of climbing balance and motion
- How to tie necessary climbing knots
- Belaying and lowering climbers on top rope (for climbers age 8+)
About Us: North Country Climbing is the only indoor full-service rock climbing gym and guiding business serving Northern New Hampshire and the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We have 6,000 square feet of exciting and varied terrain for all ability levels and ages on walls up to four stories tall, including extensive bouldering, top-roping, auto belays, and lead climbing.
Additional Information:
- A signed N3C visitor and liability release agreement is required of all people entering the climbing gym. Students cannot participate without a waiver signed by a parent / legal guardian.
- All students should wear comfortable clothing that allows for freedom of movement and the ability to wear a climbing harness (skirts and dresses do not work well).
- Socks are recommended.
- All students should bring a water bottle with their name on it.
- We reserves the right to dismiss a student from the program for inappropriate behavior.
- Maximum number of participants per group: 30. Minimum: 5.
Potential Dates: 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, & 12/17. (No class on 11/26)
Time: 10am – 11:30am
Missed Lessons / Cancellations: N3C will cancel lessons only under extenuating circumstances. If N3C or your group (as a whole, with reasonable advance notice via the group’s point of contact) cancels a lesson, we will offer a make-up lesson at a mutually agreed upon time. Otherwise, any missed lessons are not refundable.
All rental gear is included for participants! This includes climbing shoes, harnesses, & belay devices.
