Veterans Day Special

Veterans Day is the official United States public holiday that honors military veterans. On this day, N3C will honor those who have served by offering them a free day pass. It’s a small way that we can express our appreciation.

The history of Veterans Day is interesting and noteworthy. Veterans Day coincides with Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which both specifically commemorate the end of the First World War. On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, the Armistice went into effect which formally ended major hostilities of World War I. From 1919 to 1953, the United States observed Armistice Day. By the end of World War II, however, many felt that the day’s significance should be broadened to celebrate all American veterans. So, in 1954, the US Congress passed and President Eisenhower signed a bill establishing Veterans Day as a Federal Holiday celebrated every November 11th. Please take this opportunity to thank vets you know for the service they have provided for all of us.
